Our interest is a combination of providing capital to a small company and it's potential for exciting returns.
Keep in mind, we are investors and not speculators. Time is required for the investment to mature, and we don't do it for advisory or capital raising fees.
As outlined in Section 708(8)(c) of the Australian Corporations Act, the requirements of being a “Sophisticated Investor” is defined as a person who:
a) has aggregated net assets of $2.5 million OR
b) has gross income for each of the last two financial years of at least $250,000 a year.
Furthermore, you can attest that you have had previous experience in using financial services and investing in financial products thus allowing you to assess:
a) The merits of the product or service; and
b) The value of the product or service; and
c) The risks associated with holding the product; and
d) your own financial circumstance and informational requirements; and
e) The adequacy of the information given by the licensee and the product issuer
I also acknowledge that Karri Asset Advisors):
a) Has not given me a Product Disclosure Statement
b) Has not given me any other documentation that would be required to be given to the client if the product or service were provided to myself as a retail client
c) Does not have any other obligation to the investor that the licensee would have if the product or service were being provided to a retail client
